A Haiku Blog

Because Poetry Should Be Part of Life

Welcome to this independent poetry blog, where I write short poem in a modern haiku style almost every day.

I started the blog originally so that when people asked me what I did at parties, instead of talking about my job - I could say “I’m a poet” without being dishonest.

Why subscribe?

Because you like poetry. Because you want to support an independent writer. Because $30 a year is less than 1 cent to have a new poem to read everyday. If you aren’t convinced, there is a $5 a month option too.

Each haiku is:

  • A small moment of reflection

  • A short, cool thing to read

  • A reason for joy

  • Something to share with those you care about

As a subscriber you can comment, engage, and even submit their own creative responses. Plus, your support helps me continue declaring myself one of the pre-eminent haiku bloggers of the modern haiku movement.

Join the crew. Get weird.

  • Live haiku readings - now I have written 500 haikus, I will be organising some readings exclusive for subscribers.

  • Discount on future publications and merchandise - if there is an eventual book or if I start printing shirts or tea towels.

  • Haiku appreciation club - you can send me haikus and other forms of poetry you write and I am happy to discuss them with you.

This is poetry without the pretension, but with all the avant-garde absurdity, unexpected profundity, and the occasional existential crisis that a good haiku should deliver.

Subscribe. Support a poet. And reset your brain—one haiku at a time.

CTRL+ALT+DELETE isn’t just how you reset a computer, now it is a way for us all to reset every day with each haiku.
